My Babies

Nessa and Triela are my babies. I love these little girls almost as much as I love Dam. Yes, in order of importance my hubbie comes first, but these little ones are a close second (along with Eliot ;) ). The funny thing is since my belly has gotten bigger Nessa has decided that it is her pillow. Make room Bean, here comes Nessa!!
The girls also are starting to find out that my lap no longer can fit both of them. Fortunately Triela is a bit more independent than Nessa so she doesn't mind being on the floor as much.

Unfortunately they will have to learn to stay on the floor more after Bean is born. I'm not sure how close I will let them get to Bean until I know how they react to him. The only baby that they have met, so far, is Randy and Kathy's son Hyrum, and even then for short periods at a time. I think that they will do well. They listen and even though they rough house with the cat they've never bitten her. These girls are my babies, I can't envision getting rid of them simply because there is a new member in the family.

Best Zoo experience ever

Adam and I have been to the Saint Louis Zoo a number of times in the last two years. We've seen the reptiles and monkeys a number of times. We can even discern which hippo is which, but we have never seen the baby elephants. Today we finally got to see one of them!! Currently there are two baby elephants at the zoo, Malia and Jade. They are half sisters and Malia is about two years old, where as her sister is about half a year old. Adam and I are assuming that the baby that we saw today was Malia. I'm not sure how often the zoo keepers let Jade out of the barn considering how young she is.

Even though Malia is still one of the newest additions to the zoo, she wasn't the only one drawing a crowd. Her father, Raja, was putting on quite the show trying to get cool on a hot June afternoon. It was amazing to see how efficiently he could use his trunk to spray water all over his body. He would even wrap his trunk around his tusks to pull off any mud that he had dug up to spread on top of his head. I knew elephants were resourceful, but I never knew that they were that resourceful!

The rest of the zoo trip was amazing. We got to see the cheetahs close up and interacting with each other. Normally they are hiding far away from the edge of their enclosure sleeping. Being able to see this and much more, made going to the zoo one more time well worth it.

Prego pictures

I have had many friends and family ask when I am going to post pictures of myself pregnant. The only reason that I have not posted any pictures yet is because our digital camera broke. Well, we got a new camera so here is a photo: The funny thing is that I really do not feel that I have gotten that big, but when I look at photos of myself I feel like I look like the good year blimp. Dam has a new saying, "Pregnant women are like weebles. They wobble, but unlike weebles they do fall down." I find this humorous because I accidentally fell on my rear end at work a few weeks ago, and if I wasn't pregnant I probably would have caught myself.

So, can anyone guess how much I weigh now?? :)

I'm too tired and too swollen to type much, but wanted to post something. I thought a picture of Nessa would do the trick. :)
